Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director, announced that there were six New Jersey Lottery third-tier prizewinning tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $5,000 prize.
If those tickets had been purchase with the Megaplier option, it would have multiplied the prizes to $25,000. The jackpot rolls to $346 million for the Tuesday drawing making it the seventh largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.
The winning numbers for the Friday, Aug. 4 drawing were: 09, 17, 25, 63 and 71. The Gold Mega Ball was 04, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 05.
The six third-tier prizewinning tickets were sold at the following locations:
• Camden County: OM Khodiyar LLC, 199 S. Route 73, West Berlin;
• Essex County: Eisenhower Exxon, 550 Eaglerock Ave., Roseland;
• Gloucester County: Fair Deal Food Mart, 206 W. Broad St., Gibbstown;
• Ocean County: Country Farm, 550 Unit 10 Crestwood Mkt., Whiting;
• Passaic County: Union Food Stores, 357 Union Blvd., Totowa; and
• Somerset County: 7-Eleven #34242, 245 Route 22 E., Green Brook.
In addition, 67 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. Three of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $2,500.
Moreover, 213,127 other New Jersey players took home $408,174 in prizes ranging from $1 to $250, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
