UPDATE 11:55 am There is a confirmed fatality of an adult male victim.
There is one person unaccounted for in a raging fire that tore through a house in Wayne this morning.
Firefighters were called to 338 Riverlawn Drive after receiving reports of a fire with occupants possibly trapped inside a house.
Crews arrived on the scene to find the two-story single family home heavily engulfed in flames at around 8 a.m. according to reports.
Police were able to make entry into the home where they began a search for a male who was seen entering the basement and did not return when the blaze began but, were driven out by heavy flames and heat.
Firefighters have not placed the fire under control as of 10 a.m.
The cause is under investigation.
