A fight that broke out at a party in Paterson had one person stabbed during the altercation overnight.
Police responded to the vicinity of 224 Broadway for reports of a physical altercation that involved multiple people just before 1 a.m.
Upon their arrival, units found a large crowd with a male victim suffering a non-life threatening stab wound according to reports.
The victim reported to police that he was breaking up a fight when someone pulled the weapon and began to swing uncontrollably.
Doctors at St. Joseph's Hospital treated the injury then released the victim.
Police have launched an investigation into the altercation.
