Police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital in Piscataway Thursday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police responded dot reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 382 Rushmore Avenue at approximately 9:17 p.m.
Police say units arrived and found an unidentified person suffering a bullet wound at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in stable condition, according to police.
Several suspects fled the scene and remain at-large.
