There was one person injured in a shooting that occurred in Jersey City on Friday night.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Dwight Street at around 1:30 a.m.
Units arriving at the scene found the victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the arm.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center where there were no reports of life-threatening injuries.
The motive for the shooting has yet to be determined.
There were no arrests reported.
