Hillside authorities are looking into the cause of a car crash that sent one person to the hospital early Thursday morning.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders rushed to the vicinity of Conant Street and Central Avenue at around 3 a.m. after receiving reports of a car crash with injuries and possible trapped occupants.
Rescue crews arrived a the scene found a car collided with a bridge with one person reportedly trapped inside the vehicle.
Firefighters were able to extricate the victim then hand them over to EMS for the transport to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.
The official cause of the crash remains under investigation.
