A shooting that sent one person to the hospital overnight in Hackensack is under investigation.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the the the 200 block of James Street at approximately 1:15 a.m. where officers arrived at the scene to find the victim suffering an apparent gunshot wound at that location.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
A male suspect was observed running from the scene immediately after the shooting according to reports.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
