Police are investigating a shooting that happened in Newark's West Ward Monday.
Early morning shots fired rang out in the 60's block of Munn Avenue around 1:50 a.m., prompting a police investigation.
Units arrived at the scene and found shell casings and a male suffering a non-life-threatening graze wound.
One person was detained, and a search of the area revealed two weapons, and police engaged in a foot pursuit for a suspect who fled the scene.
That person was captured and detained while Newark Shooting Response Team investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No other injuries were reported.
