There’s a big “Pot of Gold” waiting to be won now that the Powerball jackpot has rolled to $455 Million for the Saturday, March 17th drawing. You don’t have to be Irish to have your chance at good luck on St. Patrick’s Day in the Powerball drawing, but you do have to buy your ticket and get in the game.
You have to be in it to win it, so buy your ticket early and try your chance for the Powerball “green” – that $455,000,000 jackpot!. “Such big jackpots are producing excitement among our New Jersey Lottery players who want to ‘win a Pot of Gold’ on St. Patrick’s Day,” said New Jersey Lottery Acting Executive Director John M. White. “You just need to buy one ticket for your chance to win. We remind everyone to play responsibility…to play within their means.”
There were four New Jersey Lottery tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball drawn for the Wednesday, March 14 drawing winning the $50,000 third-tier prize. If those tickets had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have multiplied the prize to $150,000.
The winning tickets from Wednesday night’s drawing were sold at the following locations:
Camden County: Speedy Mart, 715 Somerdale Rd., Blackwood;
Hunterdon County: Shop Rite Liquors (Quick Chek), 41 Old Route 22, Clinton;
Monmouth County: P & P Sweet Shop, 497 Middle Rd., Hazlet; and
Ocean County: ACME Markets #7921, 912 West Bay Ave., Barnegat.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, March 14 drawing were: 06, 12, 24, 41 and 68. The Red Power Ball number was 09. The Multiplier number was 03. The Powerball jackpot rolls to $455,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, March 17 at 10:59 pm.
In addition to the third-tier prizewinning tickets sold, there were 69,467 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $371,745 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to White.
“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said White. “I’d like to remind players to purchase their Powerball tickets with a winning attitude and add Power Play to the ticket purchase. Power Play doubles the second prize from one million dollars to two million dollars and multiplies all of the seven lower prize sets available in the game by the number drawn that evening. The jackpot prize is not multiplied.”
