The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a shooting that left one person dead overnight in Trenton.
Gunfire erupted in the 100 block Boudinot Street at around 9:30 p.m. sending cops to the scene where they located one person suffering serious injuries after being struck by apparent gunfire.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where they succumb to their injuries at around 1:30 a.m.
The motive behind the shooting has not been released at this time.
There were no reports of arrests.
