Tragedy struck in New Brunswick on Tuesday evening as one person lost their life in a violent shooting incident.
Preliminary reports indicated that just before 7:20 p.m., the New Brunswick Police Department received reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Delevan Street and Paul Robeson Boulevard.
Responding units swiftly arrived at the scene to find an unidentified individual suffering from a gunshot wound to their neck.
Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after the attack.
Authorities wasted no time in notifying the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office about the shooting, and they are actively joining the investigation.
As of now, no arrests have been made, leaving the community shaken and the search for answers ongoing.
