Police took a person into custody after a motor vehicle stop resulted in the suspect being arrested and a weapon recovered in Paterson on Sunday.
Paterson Police pulled over a vehicle whose registration was identified as stolen near 129 West Broadway shortly before 10:30 p.m.
During the investigation, police say they recovered a loaded handgun inside the vehicle.
The driver was arrested and charged with possessing a weapon and receiving stolen property.
The incident remains under investigation.
