Police are investigating a Molotov cocktail thrown at a car parked in the driveway of an Old Bridge home early Thursday morning.
Officials say the Molotov cocktail, thrown around 1:30 am, caused a fire that demolished the car and scorched the house.
According to reports, the homeowners' adult son was awake when the attack happened, and no one was hurt after awakened.
There is surveillance footage from a house across the street showing a person throwing the Molotov cocktail then running, officials say.
Preliminary reports say that the family thinks the attack was random.
