An investigation is underway, after a decomposed body of a man was found floating in the water off the Liberty State Park shoreline in Jersey City.
Jersey city police along with State Park police responded to the Flag Plaza area of the park at approximately 1p.m. after a passerby discovered the body.
The body was pulled from the water around 1:38 p.m. by the Jersey City Fire Department's Marine Rescue.
Authorities are working on identifying the body and determining the cause of death.
However, officials said there was no visible signs of trauma.
