NY Driver Issued Tickets After Striking Pedestrian in Elizabeth

Elizabeth police issued a Brooklyn man two tickets after he struck a pedestrian with his vehicle Tuesday evening.

‪According to police, officers responded to the intersection of Lidgerwood and South Elmora avenues for a report of a pedestrian strike shortly after 6 p.m.‬

‪Upon arrival police learned, the driver - a Brooklyn man - was making a left turn onto Lidgerwood and South Elmora avenues when he knocked a woman to the ground with his vehicle as she attempted crossing the street. ‬

‪The woman was not seriously injured but was taken to Trinitas for treatment, police added.‬

Police issued the driver two tickets, a no turn on red and failure to stop for pedestrian.
