NWS: Sunday Brings Clear Skies, Cooler Temperatures to Newark

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

After a rainy and miserable Saturday, my family and friends in the Newark and the North Jersey region can look forward to a welcome change in weather this Sunday.

While temperatures are expected to be cooler, it's shaping up to be a beautiful fall day.

The National Weather Service forecasted the second part of the weekend to be mostly sunny, with a high near 61 degrees.

Although this marks a cooler start to the week, the sunshine will provide a pleasant backdrop for outdoor activities.

The west wind will blow at speeds of 11 to 15 mph, creating a crisp but refreshing atmosphere.

As night falls, NWS meteorologists say partly cloudy skies will prevail, with temperatures dropping to around 46 degrees.

A 7 to 10 mph west wind will gently sweep through the region, making for a comfortable evening.

This weather change offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors in the North Jersey area.

Whether it's a stroll in the park or a hike in the woods, the cooler temperatures and clear skies make for an ideal fall day.
