Newark and the broader North Jersey region are in for a day of sporadic and light showers, with a slight chance of precipitation through the morning and early afternoon.
As of the early hours, temperatures are on the cooler side, with the mercury hovering in the mid-40s.
In some areas west of I-287, temperatures have even dipped into the 30s, setting a chilly tone for the morning.
According to The National Weather Service, the forecast for the day calls for a slight chance of showers between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Despite the potential for rain, skies are expected to remain mostly cloudy.
The high temperature will reach around 65 degrees, with a shift in winds from east to west as the day progresses. The overall chance of precipitation stands at 20%.
Residents are advised to keep an umbrella handy for the occasional light shower while also preparing for cooler nighttime temperatures, with lows around 44 degrees expected.
