NWS: Relief Arrives in Newark, North Jersey Region After Days of Intense Heat

Newark and the North Jersey area are starting the morning with a much-needed respite this Monday after enduring over four days of severe heat and humidity.

With current temperatures at 78 degrees and lingering humidity, the conditions are expected to become less oppressive as the day progresses.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 82 degrees.

A refreshing west wind will blow at 15 to 22 mph, with gusts potentially reaching up to 34 mph, providing some cooling relief.

The night is set to bring even more comfort, with mostly clear skies and a low of around 69 degrees.

After a challenging stretch of extreme weather, this cooler, breezier start to the week is a welcome change for the community. Enjoy your Monday, NJ, and the cooler weather it brings!
