The Newark and North Jersey region can anticipate favorable conditions for the upcoming NYC Marathon weekend. The weather is expected to be beautiful and above average for this time of year.
Today, the area will experience mostly cloudy skies.
Despite the clouds, the National Weather Service said the temperature is expected to reach a high of around 59 degrees, making for a pleasant day overall.
As marathon participants gear up for the big race, the weather forecast brings good news. Sunday is expected to be even more promising, with partly cloudy conditions and a high of around 63 degrees.
A light southwest wind at 3 to 5 mph will provide ideal conditions for runners.
While the mornings have been chilly, they are notably milder than earlier in the week, ensuring that participants and spectators alike can enjoy a comfortable and pleasant NYC Marathon weekend.
