After enduring three days of sweltering temperatures hovering around the 90s, my friends and family in the Newark and the North Jersey region can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the nasty heatwave ends.
I can assure you that the weather forecast promises a beautiful and refreshing Sunday, with significantly cooler temperatures to enjoy.
According to The National Weather Service, the high humidity levels making the heat feel unbearable are now at a more comfortable 66%. The northwest wind blowing at 13 mph brings in cooler air, relieving the scorching conditions.
NWS forecasters said the barometer reading stands at 29.86 in, indicating stable atmospheric pressure.
Meteorologists say sunny skies will dominate the day, with a high temperature expected to reach around 82 degrees. The north wind, blowing at about nine mph, will add to the refreshing experience and make Sunday the perfect day to spend time outdoors.
As the temperatures drop, NWS forecasters say there will be no need to rely on air conditioners to stay cool. Mother Nature is offering her own version of air conditioning with refreshing breezes.
Tonight, there is a slight chance of showers after 2 am, with a 20 percent probability. The skies will be partly cloudy, and the low temperature will be around 64 degrees.
With the heatwave finally breaking, it's an excellent opportunity for residents to relax and enjoy the more comfortable weather outdoors.
The transition from the intense heatwave to the refreshing Sunday will be a welcome change for everyone.
