Newark residents are waking up to a pleasantly mild Friday morning with temperatures around 48 degrees.
The day begins with a slight chance of drizzle or light rain before 10 a.m., accompanied by patchy fog, adding a serene start to the day.
The National Weather Service forecasts a cloudy morning, which will gradually give way to mostly sunny skies as the day progresses. The high is expected to reach near 54 degrees.
A gentle southwest wind in the morning will shift to the west, picking up a bit of speed at 5 to 9 mph, making for a pleasant and mild day.
As for Friday night, the skies will turn mostly cloudy, with a low of around 39 degrees. A steady west wind at around seven mph will continue throughout the night.
With just a 20% chance of precipitation during the day, Newark can look forward to a mostly dry and comfortable end to the week.
