My friends and family in Newark are waking up to a humid and cloudy morning, a clear contrast to the dry and clear conditions experienced on Friday.
As of 6 a.m., the temperature in Newark stands at a sticky 66 degrees, with the day expected to remain mostly cloudy.
The high-pressure system that provided clear skies yesterday is shifting, ushering in more humid and cloudy weather conditions across the region.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach near 82 degrees, accompanied by a south wind blowing at 7 to 15 mph, and gusts as high as 25 mph.
Tonight, the chance of showers increases, with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight.
The skies will remain cloudy, with a low of around 74 degrees. The south wind will continue at 10 to 14 mph, and the chance of precipitation is pegged at 70%.
Residents should prepare for the shift in weather and enjoy the day despite the more humid and unsettled conditions expected across New Jersey.
