National Weather Service meteorologists said residents can expect a hazy, hot, and humid day ahead as the region experiences widespread haze.
The day will begin with areas of fog before 10 am but will gradually transition to sunny skies with a high temperature near 91 degrees.
According to the weather NWS meteorologist, the humidity level is at a high 94%, which will contribute to the discomfort felt during the day.
The wind speed will be light and variable this morning, eventually becoming southwest at around 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. NWS forecasters say while the wind may provide a slight breeze, it will not significantly alleviate the heat and humidity.
NWS meteorologists say one prominent feature of the weather conditions is the widespread haze, which is expected to persist after 8 am.
The haze can affect visibility and create a smoky atmosphere. It is essential for individuals, particularly those with respiratory conditions, to take precautions and limit their exposure to hazy conditions.
The hazy weather is anticipated to continue into Monday night, further impacting visibility and air quality in the region.
