In the wake of a stunning solar eclipse that captivated my friends and family across the Newark and North Jersey region, the area is greeting a magnificent Tuesday morning.Despite achieving only about 90% visibility of the eclipse, the celestial event left an indelible mark on those who experienced it.
Now, as we move past this astronomical highlight, the region is set for what could be the best pick of the week weather-wise.
As of 4:30 a.m., temperatures are already at a comfortable 59 degrees, setting the stage for a day filled with sunshine.
The National Weather Service forecasts a mostly sunny day, with highs reaching near 75 degrees, thanks to a calm wind shifting westward at around six mph in the afternoon.
However, residents should make the most of today's splendid weather. The forecast indicates a return to rainier conditions, ushering in what promises to be a drier second half of the work week.
Expect the skies to turn mostly cloudy tonight, with temperatures dipping to around 48 degrees.
The National Weather Service encourages everyone to relish this marvelous day, a brief respite before the rainy days return.
