Today offers the best weather of the week, with mostly sunny skies expected.
However, temperatures at 4:40 a.m. are slightly cooler than yesterday, with Newark at 35 degrees and parts of North Jersey in the lower 30s.
The high for the day is projected to reach around 53 degrees, with a gentle north wind of 5 to 8 mph, shifting to the southeast in the afternoon.
National Weather Service forecasters said clouds will begin to increase as the day progresses, signaling approaching inclement weather.
Tonight, expect cloud cover to continue to build, with temperatures dropping to around 39 degrees.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and prepare for heavy rain over the weekend.
