My friends and family in Newark and North Jersey are waking up to mild weather conditions today, with temperatures reaching the mid-50s.
It promises to be a beautiful day, perfect for outdoor activities. However, it's advisable to enjoy the pleasant weather while it lasts because a significant temperature drop is expected on Saturday.
Today, The National Weather Service said there may be some patchy fog before 8 a.m., but the day will gradually see increasing clouds, with a high near 66 degrees.
Light south winds will become southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the morning, with the potential for gusts as high as 22 mph.
As for tonight, there's a 40 percent chance of rain, mainly after midnight. The skies will remain cloudy, with temperatures around 51 degrees.
The south wind will shift to a calm breeze after midnight.
So, while today's weather is delightful, be prepared for cooler conditions as the weekend approaches.
