Residents of Newark and the surrounding North Jersey region can look forward to a much brighter day after enduring a rainy Wednesday.

Today's weather forecast promises clear skies and comfortable temperatures.

Despite a morning humidity level of 76%, The National Weather Service said the day is shaping up to be quite pleasant.

The forecast indicates sunny conditions with a high near 75 degrees.

A gentle north wind blowing at 8 to 10 mph adds to the comfortable outdoor conditions.

This break in the weather comes as a welcome relief following the recent rainy spell, which caused localized flooding in some areas, including Newark's Ironbound section.

The respite from the rain will provide residents an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and soak in some much-needed sunshine.

As the day transitions into night, NWS forecasters say Newark can expect mostly clear skies, with temperatures dropping to around 57 degrees.

A north wind of 9 to 11 mph may add a touch of coolness to the evening air. So, grab your sunglasses and make the most of this beautiful day in Newark.
