The North Jersey region is welcoming a much-needed respite from Sunday's wet and dreary conditions, moving into a drier and brighter start to the workweek.
Early risers at 4:30 a.m. might experience a breezy morning, but the good news is that rain is off the forecast for today.
According to the National Weather Service, the day will see increasing clouds with a high nearing 51 degrees, accompanied by a west wind blowing at 9 to 11 mph.
As Newark moves into the evening, the skies are expected to clear up. Tonight will be mostly cloudy initially before gradually transitioning to mostly clear conditions, with lows around 37 degrees.
A gentle west wind will persist at around eight mph.
NWS forecasters said humidity levels are currently high at 93% and have a barometric pressure of 29.72 inches. The region is set to face a cooldown on Tuesday, marking a noticeable temperature shift.
Residents can enjoy the clear skies today but should prepare for cooler conditions in the days ahead.
