As we wake up to a chilly morning, there's good news for Newark and North Jersey residents – the day is shaping up to be absolutely beautiful. You will need the heavy coat this morning, but you can shed that as the day progresses.

In some parts of Sussex County and northern New Jersey, the mercury dipped into the 20s, but don't let that deter you, as temperatures are on the rise.

AdAccording to The National Weather Service, throughout the day, expect abundant sunshine that will help warm things up.

Highs are forecasted to reach around 63 degrees, making it the nicest day of the week.

As night falls, clear skies will dominate the scene, with temperatures dropping to around 45 degrees. A light southwest wind will be present but is expected to become calm after midnight.

So, while the morning chill may have you bundling up, rest assured that the day will reward you with pleasant weather and plenty of sunshine.
