Currently, Newark is at 19 degrees, while Sparta is at a frosty 9 degrees. Other areas, such as Paterson, at 12 degrees, Morristown, at 8 degrees, and Edison, at 11 degrees, are also enduring winter's icy grip.
The National Weather Service reports that temperatures will rise to the upper 20s and lower 30s today, with slightly weaker breezes than Wednesday.
However, residents are still advised to bundle up as wind chill values will make it feel colder than the thermometer reads.
