This morning will begin with mostly clear skies and a refreshing west wind of 7 to 15 mph. National Weather Center forecasters said temperatures will climb steadily throughout the day, reaching 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

Students in Northern New Jersey celebrating spring break were fortunate to enjoy such a beautiful day for outdoor activities Monday. Most used the time to engage in sports, picnics, or simply walking in the park.

Monday evening, as the sun began to set, the clear skies gave way to a blanket of clouds that rolled in, bringing cooler temperatures. The weather forecast predicted mostly cloudy skies, with a low of around 58 degrees.

Tuesday's mild temperatures and gentle winds make it the perfect time for outdoor activities, especially after being cooped up during the winter months.

The National Weather Service said today's Northern New Jersey weather indicates a beautiful day of mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures.
