North Jersey residents are enjoying a much calmer and warmer start to the day following a stormy night that brought rain and thunderstorms across the region.
As of Tuesday morning, it’s 50 degrees in downtown Newark, marking a noticeable improvement from the colder temperatures earlier in the week.
While the heavy rain has largely cleared the area, light showers continue to linger in parts of Bergen and Passaic counties.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will remain mostly cloudy through mid-morning, with gradual clearing expected later in the day.
Despite the warmer start, temperatures will struggle to climb out of the 50s due to steady northwest winds around 15 mph.
Today’s high is forecasted to reach near 54 degrees.
Tonight, conditions will turn colder again, with mostly clear skies and a low around 32 degrees.
Garden State residents are advised to keep a light jacket on hand and enjoy the drier weather ahead. Have a great day, New Jersey!
