The cooler temperatures allowed us to turn off the air conditioners and open the windows to let in the cool breezes.

Currently, it's 68 degrees in Newark, with slightly cooler temperatures at 55 degrees in Sussex County.

According to The National Weather Service, the day promises to be another great one with sunny skies and a high near 85 degrees.

A gentle north wind at 6 to 8 mph will shift eastward in the afternoon, maintaining the day's conditions.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy, with a low of around 65 degrees.

While the humidity is set to increase as the week progresses toward the 4th of July, residents can enjoy these mild temperatures for a little while longer.

With low humidity and comfortable temperatures, it's an ideal time for Newark and its surrounding communities to enjoy outdoor activities and prepare for the upcoming holiday festivities.
