A single-vehicle crash that killed a 38-year-old North Brunswick man is under investigation.
According to police, at approximately 6:14 a.m., officers were dispatched to Route 130 southbound, near Finnegans Lane, for a report of a vehicle that left the road.
Upon arrival, officers found a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the driver - later identified as Kenneth Birkett- who was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined Birkett was traveling on north on US 130 when the incident occurred.
Traffic on US 130 north and south was affected for several hours while the on-scene investigation was being conducted.
The crash is currently under investigation.
