State Health officials are investigating what caused the death of a 5-year-old North Bergen child over the weekend.
According to officials, the unidentified Lincoln School kindergartner was last seen at school Friday.
Officials said although details on when the girl arrived at the hospital was not immediately available for release, the child was reportedly not sick when she last attended school.
Officials said the child was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The school has been notified and grief counselors will be available for staff and students on Tuesday.
