In the early hours of Sunday, police in Hillside responded to an incident at the BP Gas Station located at 1400 Liberty Avenue.
According to authorities, an armed robbery was in progress at around 2 a.m.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers were informed by gas station employees that several armed suspects had arrived at the station in a dark-colored vehicle and announced a robbery.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
After the robbery, the suspects quickly fled the scene and are currently at large. Police are actively pursuing leads and investigating the situation further.
Residents and business owners are urged to remain vigilant, and anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact the Hillside Police Department to assist with the ongoing investigation.
