Newark Police have reported no arrests in connection with a shots fired incident that occurred in the North Ward on Monday.
Gunfire erupted in the 80s block of Peabody Avenue, just a block from NJ-21.
Responding officers arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported and began collecting evidence.
Despite a thorough area check, no victims were found at the time. On Tuesday, the investigation took a new turn when police were called back to the neighborhood.
Additional shell casings were discovered, believed to be linked to Monday's shooting.
As of now, the suspect remains at large, and the circumstances surrounding the gunfire are still under active investigation by Newark Police.
Authorities continue their efforts to gather more information and urge anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
