NJDEP Fish & Wildlife to Host Introductory Ice Fishing Seminar in November

Ever wanted to learn the science behind ice fishing?AdThe New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s (NJDEP) Fish & Wildlife division is offering an exciting opportunity for beginners to gear up and prepare for the sport.

The R3 Fishing Program is hosting an introductory Ice Fishing Seminar on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Morris County Public Library in Whippany.

The seminar will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is designed to provide participants with both the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to confidently approach ice fishing.

The event will include a lecture, demonstrations, and practical activities aimed at ensuring attendees are prepared to safely venture onto frozen waters — should New Jersey’s winter weather cooperate this year.AdFor anyone interested (CLICK HERE) in experiencing this unique sport, the seminar offers a welcoming environment to learn the basics and make sure they are well-equipped to hit the ice when conditions allow.
