New Jersey State Police responded to more than 400 motor vehicle crashes Wednesday, according to police.
As of midnight, there were 356 motor vehicle crashes and 462 motorist aids officials said.
Police in the photos are assisting the driver of an overturned tractor-trailer.
Authorities are asking drivers to exercise great caution while driving, allow plenty of braking distance and if it’s not absolutely necessary, drivers should stay inside.
