NJ State Police are investigating a police pursuit that ended in a crash in Passaic County Tuesday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, State Troopers attempted to pull over a vehicle wanted for motor vehicle violations near I-80 around shortly before 9:25 p.m.
Police say the driver ignored officers' lights and siren and sped through several streets in Paterson.
According to police, the fleeing car crashed in the vicinity of 572 East 33rd Street, trapping the driver inside the vehicle.
Two individuals were extricated from the car then transported to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson for treatment suffering serious injuries.
Police say one of the injured was the driver, who will be charged in the incident.
