NJ Resident Arrested for Distributing Explicit Materials Involving Minors

Authorities in Somerset county announced the arrest of Allan Lopez Arrieta aka Allana Arrieta, 30 of Somerville, in relation to the distribution of  Explicit Materials Involving Minors.

Prosecutor McDonald stated that the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) notified the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office of several tips involving the upload and/or distribution of  Explicit Materials Involving Minors via online messaging applications.

Officials start that an investigation was initiated by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations/Computer Crimes Unit.

The investigation confirmed that the online messaging applications containing these  Explicit Materials Involving Minors were linked to Allen Lopez Arrieta aka Allana Arrieta, officials said. 

Officials says that on Friday, July 12, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office detectives, along with officers from the Somerville Police Department, executed a search warrant at Lopez Arrieta’s residence.

Defendant Lopez Arrieta was placed under arrest without incident at the residence and transported to the Prosecutor’s Office for processing, authorities say. 

According to officials, defendant Lopez Arrieta was charged with 2nd degree, Distribution of  Explicit Materials Involving Minors, 3rd Degree, Possession of  Explicit Materials Involving Minors and 4th degree, Tampering with Evidence.

Officials stated that defendant Lopez Arrieta was lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing in this matter.
