Evesham Police Officers were called to a residence on Old Republic Lane on December 15, 2023, following a report of a significant jewelry theft.
The homeowner, who was away at the time, returned to find approximately $100,000 worth of jewelry missing.
The Evesham Investigative Bureau promptly processed the crime scene, leading to the identification of two suspects, Catherine Walton and Nicholas Eye, who had been entrusted with pet care duties for the victim.
Catherine Walton, a 36-year-old from Maple Shade, was apprehended without incident and charged with second-degree theft.
She is currently being held at Burlington County Correctional Facility pending her court appearance.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Eye, 37, from West Deptford, remains at large. He faces charges of second-degree theft and third-degree receiving stolen property.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The Evesham Police Department continues its investigation and urges anyone with information about this crime or Nicholas Eye's whereabouts to come forward.
They are also reaching out to others who may have hired Walton or Eye for pet care, as they could potentially be victims as well.
