NJ Man Receives Prison Time for Secretly Recording Minor in Bathroom

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported that a 35-year-old Burlington City man has been sentenced to four years in state prison for placing a hidden camera in a bathroom to secretly record an underage female.Accoridng to a statement released by the Prosecutor’s Office, The Hon. Aimee Belgard, P.J.Cr., handed down the sentence to Joseph J. Stevenson in Superior Court in Mount Holly. Stevenson pled guilty last year to Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (Second Degree).

The investigation began after the Prosecutor’s Office received information from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children concerning Stevenson’s online activities.

Additional details are being withheld in an effort to protect the identity of the victim.

The investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office, with assistance from United States Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Office.

Stevenson was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Steve Eife, the supervisor of the BCPO Special Victims Unit.
