NJ Man Charged with Explicit Contact of Juvenile

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of 49-year-old Abel Garcia of Englewood on charges of Explicit Contact.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said the arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley.

Officials stated that on Friday, April 19, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged explicit contact of a juvenile that occurred in the past.

According to officials, an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office revealed that Abel Garcia had explicit contact with a juvenile under the age of 13 in Englewood.

As a result of the investigation, authorities say, on Wednesday, April 24, Abel Garcia was charged with two counts of second-degree explicit contact and second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Garcia was arrested by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Englewood and remanded to the Bergen County Jail for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, officials stated.
