Authorities in Bergen County announced that announced the arrest of 34-year-old Dawid S. Iwaszek, of Englewood, on additional charges of criminal explicit contact, endangering the welfare of a child, and lewdness.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella the arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley, and the Teaneck Police Department under the direction of Chief Andrew McGurr.

Officials stated, as previously reported, that on Thursday, May 23, the Englewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged incident of criminal explicit contact against a juvenile under the age of thirteen.

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Englewood Police Department revealed that Dawid S. Iwaszek exposed and had explicit contact with himself in public while in the presence of a juvenile under the age of thirteen, officials said.

During the course of the investigation, officials say that similarities were noted between this incident and at least two other incidents that had previously occurred in the Englewood and Teaneck area.

Authorities say as a result of the continuing investigation, those two other incidents involving separate victims were determined to have been committed by Dawid S. Iwaszek.

Specifically, officials said in the additional Englewood incident, the investigation revealed that Iwaszek exposed and had explicit contact with himself in public while in the presence of a child under the age of thirteen.

In the Teaneck incident, the investigation revealed that Iwaszek exposed and had explicit contact with himself in a public place, officials said.

Officials stated that on Friday, May 31, Dawid S. Iwaszek was arrested in Englewood and further charged by the Englewood Police Department with second-degree criminal explicit contact, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, fourth-degree lewdness, and a disorderly persons offense of lewdness.

Iwaszek was also charged by the Teaneck Police Department with a disorderly person's offense of lewdness, officials said.

Officials say Iwaszek was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
