Newark authorities report the arrest of Alshaquan D. Rodwell, 24, of Newark, who was charged with an armed robbery on April 13.
According to Newark Police, Rodwell, arrested today at 7 a.m., was also charged with possession of a weapon, conspiracy, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Police say the robbery occurred at approximately 6:47 p.m. when Rodwell grabbed a chain from around the victim’s neck and pulled him to the ground in the 200 block of Bergen Street.
These charges are merely allegations. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
