Authorities in Middlesex County announced that a Manalapan man has been arrested and charged as a result of an Explicit Materials Involving Minors investigation conducted by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone stated that in October of 2024, the Old Bridge Police Department requested assistance regarding an incident of an unknown adult male who was live streaming pre-pubescent CSAM and masturbating on a virtual telehealth waiting room for a health care provider in Old Bridge.

MCPO officials said that on at least seven occasions between October and January, the defendant live streamed similar content into the virtual waiting room.

The investigation revealed the suspect to be Jason Schain, 34, of Manalapan, Middlesex County authorities say.

According to Middlesex County officials, Schain was arrested at his residence, March 7, without incident and charged with second-degree Distribution of CSAM, third-degree Possession of CSAM, third-degree Possession of CDS, fourth-degree Cyber Harassment, and Lewdness which is classified as a disorderly persons offense.

Schain is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of a Pre-Trial Detention hearing, MCPO officials stated.

The investigation is active and continuing.
