New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie during an afternoon speech at Burlington County College called for an end to the Common Core standards in New Jersey.
This afternoon he expressed how he didn't think that the system was working for students in the state but has rather brought confusion and frustration to parents and classrooms alike.
During Christie's first term, he voiced his support for the standards when New Jersey had became one of the first states to adopt Common Core.
Common Core is national standard that outlines skills and levels a child should know during each grade level.
