NJ Fire Chief Charged with Sexual Assault in Manchester Township

Authorities in Ocean County announced that on October 7, Michael Trimarchi, 55, of Manchester Township, was charged with Sexual Assault and Criminal Sexual Contact in connection with an incident that occurred in Manchester Township on August 10, 2022.AdOcean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer stated that on September 6, a female victim contacted the Manchester Township Police Department to report that she was sexually assaulted by Trimarchi on August 10, 2022.

Officials said an investigation conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victim’s Unit confirmed that Trimarchi did, in fact, sexually assault the victim while she was sitting in a motor vehicle on the date in question.

According to officials, on October 7, detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office executed a court-authorized search warrant on Trimarchi’s residence.

Trimarchi was taken into custody at the residence without incident, authorities say.

Trimarchi was transported to the Ocean County Jail, where he remains lodged pending a detention hearing, officials stated.Ad“If anyone is in possession of additional information regarding Mr. Trimarchi or this investigation, please contact Sergeant Stephanie Bayha of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929-2027, extension 3861,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.
