The Bergen County fire chief arrested Saturday in Rockland County, New York, following a DWI crash, has been suspended.
According to authorities, on Saturday evening, Montvale Deputy Fire Chief Chuck Lydon was driving a fire department vehicle in New York when he crashed into a tree.
Preliminary reports states Lydon’s blood alcohol content was .18 - more than twice the legal limit.
Officials today confirmed that Lydon has been suspended until further notice.
There were no injuries reported in the crash.
